Streets of Vrindavan!

Vrindavan, land of Lord Krishna’s temples. A small town in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh and in the vicinity of Delhi/NCR. After every few kilometers, all that one would come across is a temple.

A visit to this town was a classic case of seeing through my own eyes the direction in which this country is headed to. No development, narrow roads, no facilities in a nutshell. The only change that could notice in a place like this was electric rickshaws for transit.

Some of the temples where we managed to go were

ISKCON TEMPLE

Iskcon Temple

Temple which was built in the year 1975. Also referred to as Shri Krishna Balram Temple. It is considered to be the first temple built by the International Society for Krishna’s Consciousness(ISKCON). Comparatively less crowded place.

BANKE BIHARI TEMPLE

India, People, Religious Beliefs. The place which was overcrowded. Mad rush, pickpocketing, hustle, push on top of it. It was good to head home just from the outside.

Being inside the house of a deity is all about peace. The chants in unison, the reason behind why the places of worship have a dome-shaped top has a lot to do with positive energy, mental peace. Instead how things have turned out to be with passing years is the story the pictures depict.

Honest, straight from the heart things. I care about, bother about, think about, I experience. I share them here. This has a purpose behind.
